NoteGPT free plan. Every account starts here, and a cancelled monthly plan falls back to it. NoteGPT's quota policy prices free-plan use in basic quotas — 5 per transcribed file, for example — and gives some tools a daily free allowance, such as 2 images a day or 20 homework-help uses a day. How many basic quotas a free account gets each month is not stated on the pricing page.
Pro ($9.99 a month, or $108 a year). 1,000 basic quotas a month for transcription, summaries, mind maps, translation and AI chat with basic models, plus 100 premium credits, which cover 100 minutes of premium transcription. It processes 5 YouTube videos at once, YouTube videos without subtitles up to 120 minutes, and local files up to 1GB.
Unlimited ($29 a month, or $239 a year). Unlimited basic quotas, so unlimited basic transcription, summaries, mind maps and chat with basic models, plus 2,800 premium credits a month. It processes 10 YouTube videos at once, subtitle-less YouTube videos up to 210 minutes, and local files up to 5GB.
Max ($99 a month, or $829 a year). Everything in Unlimited with 10,000 premium credits a month, for premium transcription, voice, image and video generation, and chat with premium models.
The page also shows an Education tab and a SaveTogether offer for groups of at least three, with bigger discounts per person.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | Per month, yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $9.99 | $108 | $9 |
| Unlimited | $29 | $239 | $19.92 |
| Max | $99 | $829 | $69 |
The yearly discount is small on Pro and large on the other two: the page labels Unlimited and Max "Save 30% · Limited Time". The two meters decide which plan you need. Basic quotas cover everyday summaries and transcripts: a YouTube video with subtitles costs 1 basic quota to transcribe, a YouTube summary costs 1 basic quota per 10,000 words, and summarising an uploaded audio or video file costs 1 basic quota per minute. Premium credits are spent on premium transcription, voice, images and advanced models.
The refund window. Refunds are available only within 24 hours of the first purchase, minus the value of premium credits used, and discounted purchases are not refundable at all. Buy the yearly deal only once you have tested the monthly plan.
Auto-renewal. Both monthly and yearly plans renew automatically. A yearly plan renews for another year unless you cancel it in your subscriptions page.
Premium work. Generated speech, images and video draw on premium credits, and Pro's 100 a month go quickly if you use them for more than transcription.
ViralDrop's plans are monthly. A transcript costs 2 credits per started 10 minutes, a summary adds 1 credit per started 30 minutes, and unused plan credits roll over while you stay subscribed, up to two months' worth.
A summarising workload: summarise 30 YouTube videos of about 20 minutes each in a month. Prices checked on September 30, 2026.
| Tool | Plan that covers it | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| NoteGPT | Pro: about 30 quotas for transcripts and about 30 for summaries, well inside 1,000 | $9.99, or $9 billed yearly |
| Tactiq | Its free YouTube tool gives the transcript text; summaries are a meeting feature | $0 for the transcripts |
| ViralDrop | Starter or Creator: per video, a transcript by the 10 minutes plus a summary by the 30 | $9 or $29 |
The NoteGPT figures are our arithmetic from its quota policy, assuming each video has subtitles and runs well under 10,000 words. For long YouTube videos it is the cheaper summariser. ViralDrop's AI video summary is built for short-form research: it sits above a timestamped transcript, and the same link can go on to a full breakdown of the hook and structure.

Yes, there is a free plan, and a cancelled monthly subscription returns to it. Some tools have daily free uses, others charge basic quotas. The pricing page does not list the free plan's monthly quota.
Cancel from My Subscriptions in your account. A monthly plan stays active until the end of the billing period and then switches to the Free plan. A yearly plan renews automatically, so cancel there before the renewal date if you do not want another year.
For summarising long YouTube videos, PDFs and lectures it covers a lot for a low price, with summaries, mind maps and chat in one place. It does not analyse why a short video performed.
NoteGPT's pricing page describes secure payment, cancellation at any time and refunds only within 24 hours of a first purchase. For how your uploads are handled, read its privacy policy before sending it anything confidential.
Only within 24 hours of your first purchase, and the refund is what you paid minus the value of premium credits used. Renewals, upgrades and discounted purchases are not refundable, according to its pricing page.
