TurboScribe pricing has two plans. Free gives you 3 transcripts a day of files up to 30 minutes each. TurboScribe Unlimited is $20 a month, or $10 a month billed yearly ($120), for unlimited transcription of files up to 10 hours long.
TurboScribe is best for transcribing hours of your own recordings for a flat price. Skip it if your material is other people's short videos and you want to know why they worked: ViralDrop reads the public link and breaks the video down, from $9 a month.

TurboScribe Free. 3 transcripts a day, each file up to 30 minutes, uploaded one at a time, and a lower place in the queue, so you wait longer for results. It needs a sign-up with an email address.
TurboScribe Unlimited. $20 billed monthly, or $10 a month billed yearly at $120, which the page labels a 50% saving. Unlimited transcription for one person, files up to 10 hours long and 5GB, 50 files uploaded at a time, all transcription modes, bulk exports, translation of transcripts, unlimited storage and the highest priority in the queue.
TurboScribe's FAQ answers the obvious doubt directly: there are no caps on overall usage, its systems are designed to handle at least 720 hours a month, and the only rule is that you cannot share your login with others. Speaker recognition and audio restoration are switches you set when you upload: the first adds a minute or two per hour of audio, the second two or three. Uploads can be almost any common format, including MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, MOV and MKV, and exports come as PDF, DOCX, SRT, VTT, CSV or TXT, one file or many at once.
There is no team plan on the pricing page. The site's blog has a post about TurboScribe for teams and organisations with simplified billing, so a group should ask before buying several single-person plans.
| How you pay | Charged | Works out to |
|---|---|---|
| Unlimited, monthly | $20 a month | $240 a year |
| Unlimited, yearly | $120 a year | $10 a month |
| Free | $0 | — |
The yearly totals are our arithmetic from the page. What makes the flat price good value is volume: at 30 hours of audio a month, the yearly plan comes to about 33 cents per hour transcribed. At two short videos a week, the same $10 buys far more capacity than you will use.
The page takes the currency into account: when we checked from outside the United States it showed an approximate local-currency price beside the US dollar figure. The dollar amount is what the plan is priced in.
TurboScribe rarely gets expensive in money. It gets expensive in time on work it was not designed for:
Short videos from social platforms. TurboScribe transcribes files. To transcribe a competitor's TikTok or Reel you first have to save the video to your computer and upload it, one extra step per video. That is where a TurboScribe alternative that works from links saves time.
Research beyond the words. A transcript tells you what was said. It does not tell you how the first three seconds hooked the viewer, how the video was structured, or which account's post is beating its usual numbers this week.
The free plan's 30-minute ceiling. A one-hour recording has to be split into two files on Free, and with 3 files a day that is your daily allowance gone on one interview.
ViralDrop covers that research side. A transcript of a public video costs 2 credits per started 10 minutes, and an analysis of a short video costs 5 credits, with competitor tracking included on every plan at no credit cost.
A heavy transcription workload: 30 hours of recorded interviews a month. Prices checked on September 30, 2026.
| Tool | Plan that covers it | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| TurboScribe | Unlimited | $10 billed yearly, or $20 monthly |
| Descript | Creator, 30 media hours a month per person | $24 billed yearly, or $35 monthly |
| NoteGPT | Unlimited, with unlimited basic transcription | $19.92 billed yearly, or $29 |
| ViralDrop | Not built for it: links only, up to 120 minutes each | — |
For this job TurboScribe is the cheapest option on the list, by a wide margin. Descript costs more because it is an editor first and counts every uploaded minute against its media hours.
Paste a public short video link and see why it worked. New accounts start with free welcome credits.
We did not find a TurboScribe student discount on its pricing page, its FAQ or its help center on September 30, 2026. The cheapest way to pay is the yearly Unlimited plan at $10 a month.
Yes. TurboScribe Free lets you transcribe 3 files a day, each up to 30 minutes, one at a time and at lower priority. You sign up with an email address and pay nothing.
Its FAQ says yes: no caps on overall usage, and its systems are built for at least 720 hours a month. The one rule is that a login is for one person and cannot be shared.
For large volumes of your own recordings, a flat-price plan such as TurboScribe Unlimited at $10 a month billed yearly is hard to beat. For a few short videos, free plans and free welcome credits cost nothing. Tactiq's pricing has a free plan for meetings.
On TurboScribe Free you can, in two parts: each file is limited to 30 minutes, so split the hour into two files and use two of your three daily transcripts.
