Tactiq Pricing per Month: The Plans Explained

Tactiq is a meeting transcription tool that runs as a Chrome extension and a Mac app. Its plans:

Free ($0, "free forever"). One user, 10 meeting transcripts and 5 AI credits a month, AI-generated insights, share and export, and in-meeting AI. No card is needed.

Pro ($8 per user a month, billed annually). Unlimited transcripts, 10 AI credits a month, and controls to pause automatic transcription or turn off the transcript notification.

Team ($16.67 per user a month, billed annually). For teams of one to twenty seats. Unlimited transcripts and unlimited AI credits, priority support and auto-sharing of transcripts with the team.

Business ($29.17 per user a month, billed annually). For 20 to 200 seats. Everything in Team plus advanced data retention, SAML SSO, a customer success manager, and the Tactiq MCP and Claude connector in beta.

Enterprise (custom). For 200 or more seats, with a data processing agreement, customisable SSO and in-meeting notifications, and a dedicated account manager.

Tactiq also offers special pricing for teachers and students through an education plan application on the same page. Its FAQ adds two details worth knowing before you pay: the AI runs on OpenAI's enterprise API rather than ChatGPT, and upgrades apply immediately while downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.

What Tactiq Really Costs per Month

The prices on the page are the annual-billing rates. The toggle says monthly billing costs more, with annual saving up to 33%, but the page as served did not print the monthly figures, so check the toggle before you buy.

Team size Plan Per user a month (annual) Per year for the team
1 Pro $8 $96
5 Team $16.67 about $1,000
25 Business $29.17 about $8,750

The yearly totals are our arithmetic from the per-user prices. The real limit on the cheaper plans is AI credits, not transcripts: one credit covers one AI action, such as a meeting summary, an action-item list or one question to Tactiq AI. Pro's 10 credits a month is roughly two summaries a week. When you run out, Tactiq keeps transcribing and pauses the AI features until the next month. Your existing transcripts stay accessible either way, so the free plan is safe to try on real meetings.

Where It Gets Expensive

AI on the Pro plan. Unlimited transcripts with 10 AI credits means a heavy user either rations summaries or moves to Team, which roughly doubles the per-user price.

Seats. Everything is priced per seat, and Team stops at twenty, so a sales team of 25 moves into Business and its SSO and retention features whether it needs them or not.

The wrong kind of video. Tactiq is built for meetings. Its free YouTube transcript tool gives you the words of a YouTube video and lets you download them as a text file, but nothing on its pricing page covers TikTok or Instagram, or explains why a short video worked.

ViralDrop has no per-seat price. A YouTube transcript, or one of a TikTok or Reel, costs 2 credits per started 10 minutes, a summary on top of it costs 1 credit per started 30 minutes, and an analysis of a short video costs 5 credits.

Tactiq Pricing vs Alternatives on the Same Workload

A research workload, not a meeting one: get transcripts of 20 short videos a month, each under 10 minutes. Prices checked on September 30, 2026.

Tool Plan that covers it Monthly cost
Tactiq Free YouTube transcript tool, if every video is on YouTube $0
TurboScribe Free: 3 uploaded files a day, each up to 30 minutes $0, if you download the files
NoteGPT Pro, 1,000 basic quotas a month for transcription and summaries $9.99, or $9 billed yearly
ViralDrop Starter: 2 credits per transcript of up to 10 minutes $9

For plain YouTube transcripts, the free tools win on price. NoteGPT's pricing is worth a look if you also want summaries of long YouTube videos. ViralDrop is the one row that takes a TikTok or Instagram link as it is, adds timestamps and SRT or VTT files, and can go on to break the video down.

Is Tactiq free, or is there a trial?

How to get Tactiq for free?

Install the free Chrome extension or Mac app and stay on the Free plan. Teachers and students can also apply for Tactiq's education plan, which the pricing page says has special pricing.
